The processor is OK for its class, but is not on level for current market. I bought it in December 2008 and later realized I should have waited for the i-series.
This one does not provide hyper-threading which is a letdown as the new i-series have it. Its price is still somewhat high. Nevertheless, I have to keep it, otherwise I have to throw out my whole motherboard just to replace one part. I would suggest getting i3 or i5 if you are on a budget, rather than the older Core 2 Duo technology.
