I got this as a free upgrade on my plan so I can't comment on the price of the device by itself. But be prepared to spend plenty of money after getting the phone. Without a memory card you won't be putting more than a couple songs on it so there goes $35-50(US). Standard headphones won't work, so there's another $35-50(US) for headphones with the proper connector. The FM radio needs the headphones connected to use as an antenna. The phone itself is very small, so finding a case to fit it is difficult. The official Sony case from their site is about $25(US). The phone does get very good reception. I get at least 2 bars in areas where my 2 previous phones(a motorola and an LG) would get none.
