A great system, I got mine for free as broken with the RROD error. I fixed it and am using it but I have to say that I am totally disgusted with the design of the inside of the console. It is horrible. There are so many errors that I could describe that it would take too long to describe them all in detail, a quick summary includes:
-GPU Heatsink too small
-GPU directs air to DVD drive
-CPU + GPU heatsinc not completly covered by airduct
-A spot for a front fan was not included
-DVD drive does not hold discs in place, scratches them if console is moved
-DVD drive vibrates, not fastened with rubber stoppers
-Standing it up blocks bottom vent
-XClamp holding on heatsink forces mainboard to flex under heat
These are just some. In my console I have fixed all of these issues with internal aftermarket parts and it runs quieter than the stock consoles but still pretty loud compared to my PS3.
I rate it a 4/5 because of the design issues. Gameplay and online is 5/5.
3/5 for value because of failures.
A bit more money up front by MS would have saved them millions in fixing RROD consoles.

After owning the DS and PSP, I finally got the DS Lite. I have to say, this is the best portable system I have ever used. The gameplay is awesome and unique. Also get a iTouchDS or similar flash cartridge to enable emulators and media playback.

overall, a great monitor. There are reports of color correction issues from DVI, but I haven't noticed it. The 4 USB/VGS/DVI/Svideo/Composite/Audio power for speaker inputs make this monitor excellent. Supports NTSC and PAL signals fine. At $300 which is what I believe I paid, excellent monitor

I have the 80GB and this is the most similar to it. I believe the 80s and 60s both have their pros/cons. 80 doesn't have the PS2 hardware making B/C limited, though it does have a cooler runing processor. The 60s have the PS2 hardware but a hotter runing processor and more heat emmited. Whatever one you get, awesome system with great features, especially getting the 80GB MGS Bundle.

It's still over $150 if you can find one, too expensive. Other than that, its the second highest (In GHz) processor that you will find (3.8 being the highest) Not as fast as some of the AMDs and does heat up, but if you can find one for cheap its a great processor.

At $100, way to expensive. I bought mine used for $20. Honestly, thats all I think its worth now. Not too many 3rd party games and games are still more expensive then the system. If you want to play GC games and get get your hands on a used $20 one, just get the Wii. At 150 more, your getting so many more features even though imo, the Wii is also overpriced.

Like other people said, one of the best consoles made imo. It had a countless number of games, it was silent, and it was reliable. The PS2 had some of the best games ever made. If you don't own one, get one. Even with a next gen system, your sure to go play the games you missed on this console. Its also one of the smallest DVD Players you'll ever find.
Its still going strong at 8 years.

I love firefox and this makes it better. Only reason I don't use it normally is that its not compatible with many of the addons that I use.
For those with the script error, go into IE.
Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > and check "Disable Script Debugging (Other)"
