Bought the 8gb in Dec 2007. Samsung has put together 5 sep firmware upgrades for free, all of them adding solid new feature sets.
Unlike ipods, the sound quality is fantastic. I will admit that the touch interface is not as great as the Touch but the difference is not a deal breaker. Awesome player.
