Microsoft makes 'Forza Horizon 2: Presents Fast & Furious' free for Xbox One, Xbox 360

If you are a fan of the Fast and Furious series, the Forza series, or just a fan of free things, Microsoft has made your day.
Via the Xbox Live Marketplace, the standalone game "Forza Horizon 2: Presents Fast & Furious" is available for free from now until April 10th, even if you don't have a gold subscription.

Reads the bio: "This standalone expansion will be available at no additional cost until April 10, 2015. The next great automotive adventure begins with the Forza Horizon 2 Presents Fast & Furious standalone expansion for Xbox One! For the first time ever, the Forza experience of thrilling driving and amazing cars is combining with the unstoppable Fast & Furious movie franchise to create an original adventure filled with adrenaline-fueled automotive action."

Even after the free download period, the game will be available to play forever without restrictions. I cannot speak for the 360 version but the Xbox One version was about 15GB when I downloaded it.

Check out the game here, which will show $9.99 until you log in: Xbox Store

You don't need to own the main game at all.

of all the games I've ever downloaded from Xbox this one was definitely a PITA as I too downloaded it not once not twice but a third time.

The third time I went to Account settings then download history and still had a problem downloading (on the same third attempt) this download stopped at 15%,then again at 68% then finally finished all restarting through my account settings/download history.

hope this helps.

also on a side note if this does not show up in "my games" then the game download has not finished from my experience.

We put the Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra through a very, very long review process. The $1800 mopping robot vacuum is almost perfect, but its obstacle avoidance was surprisingly bad, considering the price - and compared to its competitors.

In our review, we take a look at Sharge's power bank that supports OnePlus SuperVOOC quick charging technology as well as standard USB PD charging. It has small design flaws, but despite those, the Pouch is very nice product.
