This is nothing short of awesome. Well done Qualcomm (a company I once hated but have grown to love in recent years) this new chip will dominate all (including the tegra)

Betcha its gonna cost, but hopefully, when these chips get saturated in the market, they'll be less. Hot damn, now I can finally own a small PC of my own! wOOt!

Hope upcoming phones like the HTC HD3 get the QSD8672, Qualcomm stated before that the 1Ghz Snapdragon was just the beginning, and will be like slugs compared to the CPUs they will release by the end of this year and beginning of 2011. Either way, a dual core 1.2GHz CPU for a phone is pretty impressive.

Smart phones are getting faster so fast! It seems like they double in speed every 4-6 months...while most tech takes at least 18 months to do the same. If this keeps up, desktops might become a rare sight, and laptops will just be a wireless keyboard and screen for your phone.

I wonder how long until we see a quad-core...running at 2GHZ, and paired with 4096MB ram...I can't wait, I want my super phone now!
