eMule is an open-source P2P client that uses the same protocol as eDonkey2000. This approach means that eMule can connect with eDonkey2000 clients and vice versa. According to many, eMule has already passed eDonkey in terms of features and usability.

Extreme file diversity. You can get really hard to find stuff here, even if it DOES takes a month to download.
The Bad:
It's painfully slow at downloading. If you have really good uploading capabilities (like cable), expect to upload 3 or 4 times what you download. Most of this bandwidth will go to feeding European leechers. Turning down your upload speed might make you feel better, but you won't get the files any quicker.
Recommendations:
Search for the files you want on a site like Suprnova.org and use bittorrent to download them. If you can't find the files you're after with bittorrent, use eMule.
