1License and operating system information is based on latest version of the software.
A must for those who need the hard space that is so easilly filled with today's media!
However, I test the software and Iam surprised. Sure it cannot come to the quality of DVDShrink, but it copies all DVDs that DVDShrink, AnyDVD, DVDFab and others cannot copy. In my eyes the best tool and special, it is not closed. Still in development, so much potential.

About the software: works, fast, not as good as nero recode.
It's as bad as dvd shrink, and assuming many people like that crap (don't ask me why), then they should be happy with this transcoder.
Picture quality was poor. I can't recommend this software at this time.
The developers still have a ways to go.
This should have been labeled a beta.
The previous comments are insteresting. I have downloaded this software, and I have had successful results. However, I had an initial step that I did out of habit. Here's what I did.
The movie in focus: The Core
1. Used DVD Decrypter to rip the movie.
2. Used ShrinkTo5 to "shrink" the movie.
A. Source: the_core/video ts
B. Target: folder named: DVD_Movie
C. Click the "play" button.
3. An hour and a half was needed to shrink the movie.
4. Once the movie was shrunk down to size, I used
Clone DVD 2 to burn the movie.
5. I inserted the movie into my Xbox, and it played
successfully.
Where does one get the dvd burn plug-in. There are two small icons to the lower left of the software. One is for burning the movie files, but clicking it promoted the message "dvd burning plug-in not installed."
I did noticed during the playback that the image isn't quite as crisp as that performed by DVD Shrink. Here and there you can see some blockiness. It's no where near as bad as a VCD, but it's not bad enough to complain about either.
I will try another movie from scratch, and see if the program can both decrypt and shrink it at the same time. I take it that is what the others have done that provided poor results.

One thing, I had to use dvd decrypter to rip files to HD first; kept crashing. I think I'll install anydvd and give that a try.
Overall it may give dvdshrink stiff competetion as Shrinkto5 from early results looks and works quite well.
Either do better R&D on this and put out , at the very least, a working copy, or pack your bags and go home.
