GOM Player v2.0.12.3375

This is an old version of this software. You can also download v2.1.9.3754 (latest stable version) or v2.1.8.3863 Beta (latest beta version).

GOM Player supports most popular codecs (AVI, DAT, MPEG, DivX plus many more) with its own embedded codec system that you won't have to look for appropriate codecs everytime you can't play a certain video format. For those codecs that require a license that cannot be distributed, GOM will automatically lead you to an open-source codec web-site.

Watch video files while you are downloading them! GOM has a registered patent for playing broken AVI files and files that are still being downloaded. So try one of your broken AVI files or one that you are downloading right now. You'll find it amazing!

GOM supports a lot of advanced features for advanced users. You can customize the player by creating your own skin, setting toggle keys, VMR modes, detailed resolution among others. I have been using this player for over a year. It's so flexible. It's great for player slow motion in variable speeds and so many ways to control/operate it using the KP. I hate realplay and quick .mov files. This will play them also. Often if you're missing a codec a window opens and you can choose to search for it or go to the site where you can acquire it.

I have tried this software out, it is a sturdy well constructed piece of software, but I still prefer VLC. It all comes down to personal preference at this point.

My wife has been using this player for a while now and I have to say that it works great. The picture is clear and there have been no files it could not handle.
