GOM Player v2.1.8.3863 Beta
This is the latest beta version of this software. The latest stable version is v2.1.9.3754. Download the latest stable version.
GOM Player supports most popular codecs (AVI, DAT, MPEG, DivX plus many more) with its own embedded codec system that you won't have to look for appropriate codecs everytime you can't play a certain video format. For those codecs that require a license that cannot be distributed, GOM will automatically lead you to an open-source codec web-site.
Watch video files while you are downloading them! GOM has a registered patent for playing broken AVI files and files that are still being downloaded. So try one of your broken AVI files or one that you are downloading right now. You'll find it amazing!
GOM supports a lot of advanced features for advanced users. You can customize the player by creating your own skin, setting toggle keys, VMR modes, detailed resolution among others. It also provides features such as an overlay mixer, real-time index rebuilding for AVI files, unicode support, key frame based RW/FF and many more!

GOM player is awesome! I've been using it for about 2 years now. I use it solely for music with the "Default Music Player" skin which works great as a low resource, minimalist MP3 player. Every time I start it up, I just go to "add" pick my music folder and there's my playlist. The EQ controls are good and I can really sharpen up the sound with the "Rock" preset.
Overall a solid, well designed, and stable program.

There are only 2 useful media player programs in the world - MPC, & GOM. Everything else is GARBAGE! (like this KM junk) so believe me, don't waste your time. I've tried them all. Ideally somebody should roll a tab interface into GOM & MPC so instead of having 'docking' junk, just displays pages like a Firefox browser or whatever, such as 'EQ', 'Video' (& sub-tabs), etc :) That would B awesome!
They should of course also offer a way to UN-skin this thing, as skins just waste space & make things more difficult to use. MPC style is the way 2 go. Skins R 4 retarded video game children. A media player is a TOOL! Make it quick, easy, & familiar 2 use - not little wee buttons. Hell GOM doesn't even have skip (next/previous) track buttons - then tons of EMPTY space there. WTF?!?!! SO RETARDED!!! U have 2 hit the arrow keys. Just shows U Y Koreans R still slaves - no common sense! NO skip buttons! OH yea! Tell me another 1! LOL!!! & skins - don't get me started... If I want pretty, I'll stare at a hot chix' ass =)

I have been using this player for over a year. It's so flexible. It's great for player slow motion in variable speeds and so many ways to control/operate it using the KP. I hate realplay and quick .mov files. This will play them also. Often if you're missing a codec a window opens and you can choose to search for it or go to the site where you can acquire it.

I have tried this software out, it is a sturdy well constructed piece of software, but I still prefer VLC. It all comes down to personal preference at this point.

My wife has been using this player for a while now and I have to say that it works great. The picture is clear and there have been no files it could not handle.
