IE is often bashed for it's security problems, but now there's a report of some issues in the Opera browser too.
Not really on the topic, but since Opera is one of the biggest, along with Mozilla (+ variants), alternative browser and used by some of our members, I thought that this is worth a look.
Opera is a compact, yet very efficient web browser. It has a fairly small but fanatic userbase. Opera is available for free as adware.
GreyMagic reports the following:
- Opera permits indirect access to a list of URLs visited by the user in the current session.
- pera exposes the last and next URLs in the browser's history.
- Opera fails to format input strings correctly when viewing single local images.
- Opera fails to format input strings correctly in its Javascript console.
- Opera implements an incorrect caller-based model and allows external overriding of methods.
- Opera's file element's security model can be circumvented.
