Madonna, the multi-talented singer, was very unhappy when his album 'Ray of light' leaked to the Internet before publishing. I beleive this is one of the most talked cases of such events.
This time Madonna is taking a different approach - her official website is now accepting pre-orders of the new single, which will be released as MP3. The single has a pricetag of 1.49$.
Nice move from Madonna. She is getting a more Internet-frienly image, saves the production costs of a CD single and still charges a premium price.
Madonna will release her new song, American Life, as a Digital Single. Fans who pre-order the Digital Single for $1.49 will have it emailed to their desktops along with a special audio message from Madonna, on March 24th, the Digital Street Date. Once you have the file you can listen to it on your computer, transfer it to a player, or burn it to CD. It's yours to keep.
