"It would be great if we could just figure out a way to bring these two devices together.", said Steven Jobs referring to the iPod audio player and a cellular phone. According to BetaNews, Apple and Motorola will team up in order to introduce a down tuned version of the iTunes for cellular phones. Delivery is expected to begin as early as the first half of 2005.
Mobile phones have featured large memory capacity and audio playback features for quite some time. The integration of a Walkman, cell phone and e-tailing software for mobile content delivery sounds promising. The leading mobile phone Manufacturer Nokia has been partnering with Real Networks for quite some time, and it will be interesting to see if they have similar plans.
