The mystery of Microsoft's handheld device will soon be uncovered. For those of you who haven't already seen the Origami project website and the week 2 teaser, the Origami portable PC or whatever it should and will be called, is going to be brought out to public on March 9th. Just by coincidence, this will be the date CeBIT opens its doors in Hannover, Germany.
Even though the rumors and teaser movies might imply that the Origami is going to be a portable version of Microsoft's Xbox console, "a person close to Microsoft" has revealed to The Associated Press that it won't be a portable Xbox. It is also rumored that Origami won't have a GPU capable of running modern games.
It seems that the wet dream of gaming freaks will be broken apart. The Origami will be a toy for Windows XP users, and is easily associated to a tablet PC, mainly designed for surfing the internet, watching movies and such tasks.
Despite all the rumors and conclusions, it is far from clear, what this gadget will be like. We'll just have to wait the week, and see if we are wiser after March 9th.
