Phil Harrison will present a keynote speech titled "PlayStation 3: Beyond the Box" later today at the Game Developers Conference. The speech is anticipated by both gaming industry and gamers, and will air only a week after the PS3 release date announcement by the president of Sony Computer Entertainment Ken Kutagari.
The speech will be followed by a series of "showcasing the latest hardware and development tools for the next-generation console," as reported in GamesIndustry.biz.
The GDC Sony section will contain a number of booths that will feature game demos using new high-end features of the PlayStation platform, but Sony hasn't reported are any of those games going to be for PS3.
In addition to PlayStation platform demonstrating, Sony will present a number of PSP games playable at the conference. The games include Loco Roco, Me & My Katamari and Field Commander. Alongside the games Sony will demonstrate the upcoming hardware and game download service.
