Microsoft has been figuring out how to improve their Xbox 360 controller. The company has made some research on on the design and function of the controller's analogue stick, most probably to enhance the precision of it to fit games such as first-person shooters.
At the Gamefest event in Seattle Microsoft's product unit manager for hardware Robert S. Walker confirmed that they are looking for ways to improve the controller, and have no intention to include mouse and keyboard support on Xbox 360. The fine-tuned version of the controller would not replace the standard controller, but work as an addition for FPS lovers.
If this FPS controller is going to happen, bundling it with Halo 3 might not be a bad thing.
