Major retailers are all showing encouraging signs for launch sales of the Google Nexus 7 tablet.
GameStop, one of the largest gaming retailers in the world, says it has already sold out of its first two allocations of the device. Sam's Club and Staples also listed the tablet as sold out on their respective websites.

Google began shipping all pre-orders this morning.
The Nexus 7, built by Asus, was announced in late June during the company's I/O event.

Google's first tablet has a 7-inch 1280x800 HD (216 ppi) back-lit IPS display, is powered by a quad-core Tegra 3 SoC and comes in 8GB or 16GB models. Additionally, the device is the first with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Additionally, the tablet has a large 4325 mAh battery for 8 hours of use, has built-in NFC, GPS and a 1.2MP front-facing camera.

The 8GB model is $199 and the 16GB model is $249.
