Apple has confirmed that the iPhone 5 will be sold unlocked in the U.S., although those looking for a non-contract device will have to wait a little bit longer.
You will not be able to pre-order an unlocked device tomorrow when the phone is made available for release on the 21st. Additionally, the unlocked model will not be available online or in-store on the 21st, either.
Pricing was revealed, however, with the base model selling for $649 and going up to $849 for the 64GB model.
Apple says the unlocked phone will be available in "the next several weeks" but with no set date.
The company unveiled the phone yesterday with a thinner frame, a 4-inch screen, a new A6 processor and LTE support.
