The Japanese Nikkei is reporting that Amazon will bring its Kindle e-reader to Japan this year, as soon as next month potentially.
Amazon had been planning for a release this week, but there were supply issues that lead to a slight delay.
The world's largest e-tailer is also "hurrying to secure Japanese content" before the upcoming holiday season, said the paper.
Amazon has asked some publishers to change the data formats of some of their content, and that could delay the launch even further.
