Today at CES, Samsung announced their latest mobile processor, the Exyos 5 Octa.
The Octa has 8 cores and uses ARM's new big.LITTLE processor technology.

Big.LITTLE "switches between two clusters of four cores each: ARM Cortex-A15 for performance, and Cortex-A7 to handle common workloads while providing better battery life," says Verge.
Samsung says it can slash power consumption by 70 percent compared to its own Exynos 5 Dual by using the A7 cores for some tasks.

Thanks to the four Cortex-A15, the processor will also outgun the Samsung Nexus 10's dual-core A15.
