LinkedIn has said this week that a Russian hacker recently arrested in the Czech Republic took part in the 2012 data breach of the professional social network that led to the theft of over 115 million passwords.

"Following the 2012 breach of LinkedIn member information, we have remained actively involved with the FBI's case to pursue those responsible,"
company officials said. "We are thankful for the hard work and dedication of the FBI in its efforts to locate and capture the parties believed to be responsible for this criminal activity."
The man was arrested in Prague on Tuesday and accused of unspecified cyber attacks on U.S. companies.
