Pioneer say it's -R & -RW only - including for Dual layer - but I've happily used +R & +RW.
It's a brilliant DVD player, plays everything, doesn't care about packed or unpacked bitstreams or media.
Totally reliable.
It's not the cheapest but I reckon it's well worth the money.
Only just eclipsed by the DV600 with 1080p upscaling and genuine high def players IMO.
