Reviewer is incorrect, the installed port is a USB 1.1 port and cannot be firmware flashed to behave like a 2.0 port.

The Pioneer DV-400 is a wonderful DVD player and with its Mediatek 1389 chip it will play most formats you throw at it. also it comes with an USB 2.0 port, so you can play from a portable hard-disk or USB stick. srt subs will be loaded automatically.
