It is unclear whether the handheld will remove the bulky UMD drive, but it is clear Sony is moving its emphasis towards downloadable games and movie content.

Rolls eyes.
I love the new unit, but again Sony hypes a portable unit with the promise of a gran turismo game. Develop the game and have it ready at launch...or don't even tease us with it.
Wow, it can finally do what modders have been able to do for years. And what is with having a slider? Surely Sony knows how many issues people have with these on their phones, or maybe that is the whole plan to have them fail outside of warranty and bag another sale.
Would have gotten this if only it had dual thumb-sticks.
It will sell like crazy, even if it has problems. kids nowadays...
Bomb #1, #2 & #3 dropped...does anyone else hear the air raid sirens in the distance?
Great my pockets are already full enough with my ipod psp cell phone 2000 wallet bus pass head phones etc. now another PSP i have to carry around. At least it's small.

If they're going to go through the trouble of completely removing the UMD drive, they should also just go ahead and add the 2nd analog stick. This new PSP Go is already incompatible with old PSP games that everyone bought on UMD discs to begin with, might as well add a 2nd stick and come out with a completely new hand held.

They need a portable PSP with four shoulder buttons (helpful for PS1 games) and dual analog sticks. How can you play PS1 games on the thing with only 2 shoulder buttons?
Ugh why is everyone asking for buttons?! It would be pretty damn stupid to add in another analog stick and maybe a R2 and L2 after 3 PSPs that play the same games with the same graphics and whatever. It isn't a new PSP, it's the same one with a different look.
Ughhhhh I can't believe that's the actual placement of the nubby stick!
bluetooth and tether it to your phone .. now i guess that's an improvement for people with stupid expensive g3 phone plans who want to watch streamed tv and the like... IF it will run a proper browser.
bluetooth.. also quite nice to be free of wires and not have to listen to the muppet playing some game on the train for hours.
experience shows that slides are unreliable .. and as for the placement of the nub .. did they actually put this in the hand of a human in the design office or is it to complement the slide and break all the time?
Yea I don't understand why they would put the analog stick there... It's like their tryin' to make it like a normal PlayStation controller. Who the hell do they think they are??
