Europe to see five 250GB Slim PS3 bundles JoyStiq is reporting today that they have received pictures from Norwegian GameStop employees which show clearly that Sony is planning five 250GB Slim PS3 bundles for Europe.
The five bundles, which will include the new Slim PS3 with a 250GB HDD and one game will include the games Need For Speed: Shift, Assassin's Creed 2, Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time, Uncharted 2, and FIFA 10.

The images show the prices as 3799 kr, 500 kr more expensive than the 120GB model Slim PS3 in Norway. There were no release dates however.

Sony continues to deny comment on any of the rumored bundles.

I'm still not impressed by any of these console manufacturers. The slim version of anything usually takes the crapper. My slim PS2 had to have an external fan and a box to hold it in to keep it from overheating because they decided that the fan wasn't important in the design. After about 5 hours of straight game play before the new modification, the game started to act up and noticed it was only a result of overheating.

so what your saying is that you think the ps3 slim will have an overheating issue based off the fact that your ps2 had that problem? if anything, i noticed that my slim doesnt have a loud fan, and doesnt heat up my room

I think 5 bundles is good. Each game included with a bundle is very different from each other, attracting all audiences. Don't like a racing game? Well you have 4 other options lol

Not saying that it will overheat. If I saw right in a earlier demo tape online, the insides of the PS3 slim should have fans in them. I seriously doubt a PS2 console would heat up any room for that matter. Just stating that by making things slimmer and smaller, they tend to chip away at things to make it cost effective. What you lose, you won't know unless you open it up and find out.

I'm disappointed that they made a NFS shift bundle; they really shouldn't feed the trolls like that.

GryphB, you will be glad to know that the Slim has an improved, quieter and much larger fan. It also uses the new 45nm chip and uses 50% less power. There are plenty of dissected reviews of the Slim. Now you can feel safe getting that Ratchet and Clank Bundle.
