Samsung already producing quad-core A6 chips for Apple

According to The Korean Times, Samsung is already producing the quad-core A6 processor that will be seen in the iPad 3 and iPhone 5.
Apple had allegedly signed a deal with Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) for the processors, but now it appears that deal may not be in the works anymore.

The new report says the buyer/supplier relationship will remain into the foreseeable future, as Apple has declared the company a critical partner.

TSMC will still produce a small amount of the chips, perhaps under 10 percent.

Samsung has streamlined the process and is producing the chips at their new plant in Texas.

An apple with a powerful processor? A processor made in the USA? This must be a hoax.

What I find odd is that Apple have swapped over to TSMC from Samsung yet Apple are still in a deal to have quad core CPUs in Apple products made by Samsung, all the while Apple are banning Samsung products and you have the Samsung head CEO saying they aren't happy and don't want to do Apple products due to the court cases and the swapping of the supply lines.

Another round of court proceedings to follow this one....

Better stay away from the iPad 3 and iPhone 5 if Apple keeps suing... I'm predicting a high defective rate lol

Yet at the same time Samsung is a rational entity and is not gonna say no to all that cash.

The biggest news from this story to me is that the chips will be produced in Texas. About time Apple has some of their parts coming from the US.

That is how I knew for a fact that it was a Hoax...then again, steve isn't there to insist on suicidal working conditions just for the sake of bringing more misery to the world, so I guess anything is possible now.

For all you know they just might get the chips in raw wafer form (without encapsulation ) These might be assembled on to the pcb directly and sealed with epoxy by Foxcon - you guessed it - in China !
