Facebook app very popular on Xbox 360 Microsoft has noted today that over two million Xbox Live subscribers logged into the new Facebook app from their consoles in the first week of availability, the most popular of the new additions.
At the same time, Twitter, Zune Video and Last.fm were integrated to the console and Microsoft says 500,000 Last.fm accounts were created in just the first day.

Adds Microsoft spokesperson David Dennis: There have also been "tweets from nearly every market where we have Xbox Live."

Says Microsoft exec Neil Thompson: "It's just about giving people choice and giving them a slightly different experience. The Facebook and Twitter applications are bespoke to the service, they do have Xbox Live unique features, such as being able to see which Xbox Live friends are online, et cetera. And over time I'm sure that will evolve as well."

Sure, 2 million logged in to see what all the fuss was about. What I'd be more interested in is how many users logged back into facebook on the 360. I felt that the experience was underwhelming to say the least.

I'm a Silver user, and i just ignore the dash adverts for these pointless 'social networking' addons. I'm afraid i have nothing positive to say about such mindless timewasting brain-tissue numbing sites

Yeah, now we can see what people are really doing on the XBOX now: I'm eating some chips, taking a piss, and reading posts on my computer all the same time!! Now that's quality on Facebook! Read all about it! - BLUEBOY

I was pretty disappointed with this so called Facebook app. From what I can see, you can only be logged in while you have the Facebook screen open. I would be more impressed if it was streamlined into the system.
