YouTube typo domains transferred back to Google

YouTube typo domains transferred back to Google The National Arbitration Forum has transferred so-called "typo domains" into Google's possession after a very quick hearing.
Google filed the complaint (Case No. 1416796) two months ago with the single-member panel.

The names that will now move into Google's possession are youtbe.com, youtub.com, youtue.com, youube.com, and yutube.com.

Each of the domains were being used to steal personal information through sham surveys (as pictured via Fusible).

ICANN, the group in charge of Internet domains and regulations, has a policy where domains can be transferred as long as three elements are satisfied. Those are:

1) the domain name registered by Respondent is identical or confusingly similar to a trademark or service mark in which Complainant has rights; and
2) Respondent has no rights or legitimate interests in respect of the domain name; and
3) the domain name has been registered and is being used in bad faith

Panelist Judge Harold Kalina found all three elements to be easily satisfied in this case, which did not even receive any response from the current domain holder.

For now, the pages remain down but will eventually redirect to the real YouTube.com

Anything to make a buck... Some would say, "Great thinking", but to sit at your computer & be half jogged into thinking you hit the correct site & then to get ambushed like the ladies at the mall used to do you is ass. With the potential to get your credit information?

With as hard as hard as these turd jockeys work at making these scams pay off you'd think they could put the energy into something equally legal & make that pay off in dividends too, but no, "we simply have to believe in the penis pump we bought".

This reminds me of the time when Google was just starting out. Porn site operators would game the search engine, so that no matter what you were searching for, porn sites would be at the top of the search. So you could be looking for something like, oh I don't know, configuring pppd under Linux, and you get a link to a site that feature watersports. I've had this actually happen. At first it was quite amusing. But after a while, when you're trying to get actual work done, the reactions become something like "WTF? Really?".
