According to at least one survey, the Google Nexus 7 is outselling the Apple iPad in Japan, huge news if accurate.
Market research firm BCN conducted the survey last month, surveying 2400 consumer electronics stores in the nation.
The Nexus 7 had market share of 44.4 percent compared to Apple's 40.1 percent.
BCN did note that there was a large shortage of iPad Minis in stores, which likely led to the market share decline. However, the firm concluded that price was the biggest factor, as the Nexus 7 retails for over $100 less than the iPad Mini and $300 less than full-sized iPads.
Tablet sales grew to 3.6 million in 2012, with that number expected to grow another 50 percent in 2013.
