VSO ConvertXtoDVD (formerly known as DivXtoDVD) is an easy-to-use tool that allows converting any video file format (including DivX, WMV and XviD formats) to a DVD-Video -compliant format.
Program also supports converting audio files into 2-channel AC3 format, supports NTSC and PAL formats and also 16:9 and 4:3 aspect ratios.
Program's encoding engine is pretty fast and produces good-quality results (of course it can't be compared to multipass encoding with CCE, but the easiness and the speed of the software makes it up), considering that the source material is typically already heavily compressed with lossy encoding methods.
Tool also can automatically create chapters for DVDs and also supports putting multiple movies on one DVDR disc. The program now also supports the creation of optional DVD subtitles. As a summary, an excellent tool for quick DVD creation and I can see it become quite popular for converting digital camcorder material into DVDR format as well.
Since the release of ConvertXtoDVD 5, you can now cut away unwanted portions of videos like commercials. You also have other editing options, such as adjusting the brightness or contrast, flipping the video or adding hardcoded subs. With the hardware acceleration support, you can also convert (multiple) files faster.
We strongly recommend that you take a look at our VSO ConvertXtoDVD guide for further information about the tool.

This software works as advertised. Ive been using it for about 2 years and in that time have created hundreds of DVDs without creating a single bad DVD (i.e. a coaster).
It works so well that I also use it on my moms PC and burn DVDs of television programs so she can watch on her big TV rather than small screen laptop.
I tried a few other programs before discovering ConvertXtoDVD and they didnt work out for me. After trying ConvertXtoDVD I stopped looking at alternatives and have been a happy customer.
I recommend highly this software as it is affordable and all their updates maintain the level of peak performance. Awesome product! JJ Dixon
new version supports Real Video and MKV formats which is nice addition too. Quality is awesome!
menu autor is poor. And the options:FORMATO ( is a not inteligent option) ; CODIFICATION : (double pass?)I don't think so. ; AUDIO : I need more posibilities(Like more bitrate and decides what specific frame rate uses, not aproximation).
Anyway, is a GOOD Soft (a little poor, because is not freeware)
Aside from that issue, it seems like a great program. Although it could use some work in the menu making error, and I would suggest an option to disable the video while encoding
ConvertXtoDVD inteprets source material well and makes the right decisions on how to transcode it. But the results are still not good enough.
