Royal RSS Reader is a freeware application for reading posts from web-based RSS feeds.
The program can run on startup, and will periodically check RSS 0.91/0.92/1.0/2.0/Atom feeds for updates. You can add a site to the application by simply dragging and dropping an RSS/XML icon from the website, or you can manually add a URL if necessary.
When a new post arrives, an small window will appear and shows you the title of the new post.
