Defraggler is a free disk defragmentation tool.
Most defragmentation tools only let you defrag the whole drive. Defraggler gives you the power to select individual files and folders to defrag. So you can get the job done in seconds, rather than waiting for the whole drive to complete. Of course if you want to defrag the whole drive Defraggler will let you do that too.

After some initial testing on small and large files on two external IDE HDD, I have found this tool to be quite good. The interface is quite easy to understand and the fact you can defrag single files is fantastic.

Defraggler worked well for my D; drive, making whole several 25+ gigabyte files, and doing it with continuity; something you could never get XP to do. It's slow (probably because it is making the machine think it is in safe-mode) but a very nice program. It even offers the option to defrag individual files...very useful for what I am using it for. I should send these guys some money, Lord knows I've used enough of their products! And this one is a cut above the competition.

60 gb laptop hdd...2 partitions...15 & 45. I tried it on the d drive.. Sure am glad I didn't try c. I attempted to do the entire d drive. It hung at 19% for 20 minutes.
I stopped it. I did defrag the 2 files that were fragmented. I ended up with about 50 other files fragmented. I tried to defrag them one at a time because it's necessary to give each file a new name...what a waste of time. I defragged with XP Home in about 12 minutes. That fixed most of the fragmented files. Defraggler is being "UNINSTALLED" !!!
