Maintenance downtime at AfterDawn download server

Written by Jari Ketola @ 19 Jul 2005 11:02 User comments (13)

Maintenance downtime at AfterDawn download server Our download server was down for maintenance for a couple of hours today. The downtime was longer than expected, and we apologize for the inconvenience caused.
The server was taken down to add another hard disk drive. After the upgrade we are able to accommodate the growing needs of both the AfterDawn software archive and the MP3Lizard music storage.

With regards,

that's a bit off-topic there, boys. you should all know by now that the title really means nothing. it's the quality of your posts that counts.

Auslander is right. It doesn't matter if you made 1000post if it's garbage.

Really goes to show how serious Afterdawn LTD. are.. more than just a forum, like a company or something.. -Mike

Mik3h, tnx. Our site is really much more than forums or daily news. Our software archive already contains 700+ software items (including the ones listed in Filepedia.com) and the figure is rising weekly. We also have quite interesting plans for the software selection in near future, but more about those later.. Also, MP3Lizard.com hosts already almost 10,000 MP3 tracks from independent artists. This all means that we need enormous amounts of bandwidth and HDD space (I probably forgot to mention, our sites generate several gigabytes of raw log data on daily basis), thus the upgrade was needed.
