European PS3 titles priced

European PS3 titles priced Sony has announced pricing for European PlayStation 3 first party launch titles. The five disc-based launch titles, including Motorstorm and Resistance: Fall of Man, are priced €59.99 (£39.99, AUD 99.95, NZ 109.95). In addition downloadable PlayStation Network titles, such as BlastFactor, flOw and Super Rub a Dub, range from €2.99 to €9.99 during the introductory period.
PlayStation Network will also host other files for download including game items and premium video content, such as SingStar tracks, and a premium pack for MotorStorm, which would include a new track, additional vehicles, liveries and multiplayer modes. These items are priced on a "sliding scale" from €0.99 and increasing depending on the content.

Also PlayStation Network exclusive Gran Turismo HD Concept, a one-track glimpse to next-gen racing with 1080p HD graphics, will be available for free download from PlayStation Store.

Which will be translated to ~80€ here in Finland.

I guarantee you that on launch day I will take pictures of PS3 games in local stores and they will cost more than that, ion fact, all Euro users if you can, create a profile page and take snap shots of youe gam,e prices if they exceed this amount?

Hold up stop right there so what happen to the 30 title's that was going to be there on launch day?

those are just first party prices and games... ubisoft, sega, EA etc are not first party and can set prices to w/e they want. basically its how nfl 2k5 or 6 released for only $19.99 or was it $29.99?? a few years ago, while ea's madden released for 49.99. there is still going to be some 30 games or so released...

sony pretty much just set the market price for ps3 games, but companies could offer titles for more or less depending on their preferences. retailers also could list games for more than sony's RECOMMENDED price.

Anyone got a comparison with the prices being charged elsewhere for these (Japan and the USA in particular)?

You guys in europe are get abused, a later start date and higher prices

most games, like Resistance: Fall of Man and MotorStorm, are $59.99 here
(which is still high in my mind)

It's simple. Don't purchase games at stores. I bought Resistance for $45.00 USD shipped to me. Where? Ebay, where else?

Note the use of the words "during the introductory period".

I wonder how long that'll last & what the 'regular' prices are going to be?
