'South Park' to stream on Netflix, exclusively

Matt Stone and Trey Parker, the creators of the extremely popular South Park cartoon, have signed an agreement with Netflix that will have the first nine seasons of the show streamed through Netflix's Watch Instantly streaming service.
The deal will give Netflix exclusive rights to the show's first 181 episodes, added Netflix spokesman Steve Swasey, although neither party elaborated on the financials of the deal.

Over the past year, Netflix has continued to add services and content to its streaming library, which now boasts more than 12,000 movies and TV episodes. The streaming library is now available through TiVo devices, on Samsung Blu-ray players, on LG Blu-ray players and through the Microsoft Xbox 360.

The company added recently that despite the current economic recession, they have hit 10 million subscribers while posting a 45 percent profit increase year on year.

As if I need another reason to leave Blockbuster online. I love Southpark and with all that they are offering, I'd be a fool not to switch. Bye, bye Blockbuster.

If I remember correctly you can watch all the south park episodes on comedycentral.com for free, even all the episodes after season 9, wow great deal netflix made, they are paying money to offer content to customers that is already on the net free. Anyway it's cool I guess but don't make sense to me as it's already free why would I pay to see it? I been netflix member for over 5 years now and hardly ever use the streaming service, guess I should seeing I help pay for it, lol.

I already have the first 11 seasons on dvd and season 12 comes out this week. I enjoy the streaming service. I just throw anything I like in my watch instantly queue and it saves me from having to try and find the dvd. Every week I find something new added to their streaming service. While it's not new dvd releases, they still have a lot of good movies available.
