Windows Phone 7 update bricking phones?

Windows Phone 7 update bricking phones? Microsoft is making headlines this week after their recent Windows Phone 7 update has bricked some user's handsets and caused crashes on others.
The official Windows Phone 7 Troubleshooting Guide has a list of 19 possible error codes, and the final repair is simply a rollback to the more stable firmware.

While a small portion of users had their phones completely bricked by the update, most had lighter issues, such as the update failing.

LG Optimus 7 and Samsung Omnia 7 owners saw the highest proportion of bricked devices.

For now, Microsoft is asking users to not try the update for 72 hours, while it investigates and fixes.

To make matters even worse, the update doesn't bring the promised copy and paste feature, which Microsoft says is coming next month.

Prime example of agile development, things get more date driven rather then quality.

At least they are continuing their tradition of excellence by always releasing a product or patch that has been thoroughly tested and is ready for the public.

Heheh, I think you have some of the works out of order :) Might be as dyslexic as me? I think you meant to say they are continuing in their most excellent tradition of releasing something ready for test to the general public?

Yeah...no copy n paste? The f**king PS3 has that...even without jailbreaking...and it isn't meant as a communications device. I'm a little surprised that they released it without copy-n-paste; that is like releasing it with a monochrome video driver.

No cheap shots.
Let microsoft die in peace.

Yea, I don't think so. If Vista didn't kill Microsoft and if Kin didn't kill Microsoft, I doubt a few bricked phones are gonna kill Microsoft.
