Apple sues Samsung for "copying" tablets, phones Apple has sued Samsung this week, accusing its rival of "copying" iOS devices when creating its Galaxy line of tablets and phones.
The lawsuit alleges Samsung violates many Apple patents and trademarks relating to design features.

Samsung says it will actively respond to the suit and the accusation that it "blatantly copied" Apple gadgets.

Apple's suit is over 16 different claims "including unjust enrichment, trademark infringement" and 10 patent claims.

Samsung's Galaxy Tab and Galaxy S devices have all sold well in the United States, and feature Android software.

"unjust enrichment"? Doesn't that mean the same as "improved upon?" How would this be a copy then?

I saw this yesterday, even posted in another topic about it. I will surely be following this one. But looking at it apple could have a case because the "wiz" interface that Samsung placed over the android os is pretty similar to the iPhone. Honesty I think that interface looks like sh*t anyway. Now the part about the device have curved corners seems like BS because just about all touch screen cellphones have curved corners.

The Galaxy S sh*ts all over the Iphone 4, no wonder apple are trying to sue.

The thing is though I couldn't see how this case will work as they are completely different phones.

It's like Apple saying that Google's Android OS is exactly the same as iOS.

Enriched as in made money not made better. They're saying that Samsung have been enriched (made richer) unjustly at the expense of Apple.

It's basically a legal term which allows Apple to claim money back from Samsung that they lost due to people buying Galaxys instead of iPhones and iPads. Apple like this a lot cause they don't have to prove liability or wrongdoing just that it was unjust (whatever that means).

I am happily agreeing with this statement because it's really the end-all be-all solution to such an annoying problem.

It really resembles an iphone 3G, but i guess its better with its own original design and everything.

Everyone are copying the Iphone but that's how it works! Before the Iphone the touch screen phones didn't exist but now there are awesome touch screen phones as good as the iphone.

It would be like Ford suing GM or other company for copying the car concept.
