iPhone 5 shipping in September

According to new sources cited by MSNBC, the iPhone 5 will begin shipping in September, later than the usual June launch date for Apple's popular smartphone.
The phone will look very similar to the iPhone 4 in form factor, but will include a dual-core CPU.

Apple is delaying the launch due to the release of the iPhone 4 for Verizon earlier this year, which remains a strong seller.

Suppliers like Largan Precision, Wintek and Foxconn will begin production in July or August, say the reports.

Apple will report earnings at 4pm today, expecting another huge boost in profit and revenue.

the iphone may or may not be on top. but it has not done to bad. you have to look at it this way. apple has what 4 differnt phones? all called iphone. iphone is a phone. android is not a phone but an os on many phones made by many companys. how many different phones is andriod on? att has seven atleast. oh and you can only get iphone with att and verizon. andriod you can get with almost any cell company

You guys are comparing "Apples with Pears". Android is a software platform that multiple hardware manufacturers take and provision onto their devices - there is no OEM limit set by Google for who can do this. iPhone (hardware) and IOS (software) is a fixed environment that only Apple sell with specific devices.

So, Apple's devices are (currently) only premium devices which precludes people buying in the budget end of the market where as Android devices can range from cheap as chips really basic and rubbish budget devices to premium devices that cost similar to the Apple brand. This makes clear comparison of device sales at a certain price and also whole market analysis hard to do hence why you'll find a lot of contradicting information on the internet.
