LG will discontinue Windows Phone development

After weeks of rumors, LG has confirmed it will stay away from platforms that aren't Android.
While promoting the new quad-core Optimus G, LG Mobile Communications CEO Park Jong Seok says the company has "no specific plans for other mobile platforms."

LG was part of an initial group that released Windows Phone 7 devices, but it stayed away from Windows Phone 7.5 and there does not appear to be any active development since the Optimus 7.

Microsoft's upcoming Windows Phone 8 platform is set for launch at the end of October with phones using the operating system slated for early November releases.

A number of companies, including HTC and Samsung, have already announced devices for the mobile OS.

What OTHER mobile platforms are there? Like they could consider making an iOS device or some essentially defunct mobile OS??? No surprise they dropped Windows Phone, though. Yeah, some seem to like it, but it's barely able to get anywhere w/o Microsoft ponying up the dough for people to support it.
