LG Nexus 4 unveiled, priced starting at $299 Google has unveiled its poorly kept secret, the LG Nexus 4.
The powerful device features a a 4.7-inch 1280 x 768 320 ppi IPS+ LCD display, runs on a 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, has 2GB RAM, an 8 megapixel camera and a 1.3 megapixel front-facing camera, NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and Wireless Charging.

Google has also made the back of etched glass that sparkles as if it is different layers. The phone also includes a large 2100mAh and the screen is protected by Gorilla Glass 2 tech.

The search giant has priced the device extremely competitively, at just $299 for 8GB of storage, or $349 with 16GB without contract.

With the amazing price and specs, there is one downside, no LTE radio. The unlocked device does have access to fast 4G HSPA+, but no LTE. Additionally, it may upset some consumers that there is no microSD slot.

The phone will ship November 13th directly from the Google Play Store.

How could it have hurt to just include a micosd slot? Really?

No LTE, hmm. I know I'm from the UK and we're SOL anyway at the moment, but still..

I can deal with the no LTE, but why have LG make the phone?

So far I'm still very happy with my Galaxy S3 purchase. Note 2 is too big for my taste, and this is hardly an upgrade, especially for $100 more.

They really dropped the ball on no expandable memory, and then topped it off with relatively small storage space? I like the back bezel, don't mind the back, but the front is ugly to me. It almosts looks like an iPhone in that first picture, just rounded out and missing the home button.

Google doesn't want to seem like they pick favorites (even though they do lol)

Also, usual grumble about us getting overcharged for absolutely bloody everything.
