New Lumia smartphones to ship this week.
The Finnish handset maker will deliver some of its new line of Lumia smartphones, starting in European markets, this week. A lot of faith is being put into the new handsets to help Nokia turn around a catastrophic decline in the market for smartphones, and change the company's fortunes for the positive again.
Its new high-end Lumia 820 and Lumia 920, running Microsoft's Windows Phone 8 operating system (unveiled yesterday), will appear first in Britain and France, then followed by Russia and Germany.
In the United States, AT&T will sell the same devices at its stores starting sometime in early-November.
Verizon Wireless is also slated to sell the Lumia 822 handset, while T-Mobile will sell the Lumia 810.
