The Motorola 'X Phone' is real Last year, the we reported on Motorola's rumored 'X Phone,' the first real collaboration between Google and its recent acquisition, Motorola Mobility.
The phone was said to incorporate ceramic materials and a bendable screen, making it a unique Android flagship.

This week, a job posting has confirmed that the company is indeed working on an 'X' device. The LinkedIn posting is for a Senior Director of Product Management for Motorola, one who's position would lead them to oversee the launch of the new device. Additionally, the job would involve building carrier relationships for the X Phone.

Outside of the codename, there is little else in terms of details, with no mention of specifications or a time frame for release.

Motorola has since taken down the posting.

Never really been a fan of Motorola products so it will be interesting to see what they do with Google's influence. I'm not holding my breath though.

Personally, I was expecting more from my Motorola Droid RAZR. Although it's not awful, I was left with a subpar impression of Motorola products...but to be fair, the RAZR wasn't developed with Google's cash or quality control.

I have high hopes for this Project X, hope it's indeed all it's cracked up to be.
