HTC One hits 5 million sold

HTC One hits 5 million sold According to the WSJ, HTC has sold 5 million One smartphones, a surprisingly high number that still pales in comparison to the Samsung Galaxy S4, which sold almost 10 million in its first week.
"Orders are pretty good so far and are still more than what we can supply," says a source. "This is partly due to the shortage of components. When the issue is resolved next month, we will have a better idea if it's doing really well or not."

That shortage was a reference to the camera component shortage that led HTC to delay the launch of the phone by a month in most places.

Now that supply is back to normal, HTC has promised to double production.

If I had a chunk of spare cash right now, this is the phone I would spend it on.
