iRenew from Wide Angle Software will work with any PC formatted iPod, except unfortunately for the iPod Touch and iPhone handset. If you have accidentally deleted songs from your iPod then iRenew may be able to help you out. iRenew is essentially an iPod file recovery tool that can scan an iPod's hard drive or flash memory for deleted data if it has not been overwritten, and recover the music files so you can listen to them again.

Once iRenew has found music that it can potentially restore, the user can select whatever files they accidentally deleted or had a change of heart about later and recover the content for use. The software allows the user to listen to a preview of a deleted song before the attempted file recovery is carried out. The software is designed to be easy to use, featuring an interface that requires only a few clicks to complete the task.

• Recover both iTunes purchased files and files you added yourself.

NOTE that iRenew needs iTunes installed to work. Additionally, Microsoft's .NET framework 2.0 SP1 is required.
