Renamer is a freeware file / directory renaming tool.
It specifically targets "ugly" filenames, such as filenames that have special characters in them. It can quickly bulk rename files to remove those characters and make them look a lot more presentable.
With basic settings it translates spaces to '_' and deletes any non-alphanumerical character except of '_', '-' and '.' but you can easily change it.
