WAN IP Logger can get your WAN IP address (external IP address) and log it.
Your WAN IP is the IP you use to communicate over the Internet, as opposed to your LAN IP which is the IP address of your device on your home or work network only.
You will need your WAN IP address for things like standalone IM tools that connect directly from user to user, rather than through a central server.
