dBug is a tool that can aid in the removal of malware by preventing malicious and non-essential programs from starting with Windows.
If you are working with a PC that is infected with ransomware or Fake Anti-Virus software, you know that it can be very disruptive and that it can protect itself by killing anti-malware utilities.
For example, you may try to run a removal tool only for the malware to terminate the process before it can remove anything.
Some tools have been released to fight this problem, but they mostly rely on killing malicious processes that are running, or in some cases all non-essential processes. However, this often doesn't work properly as the malware can kill the tool before it finishes killing other processes.
dBug doesn't kill any processes at all. Instead, when you run dBug it stops all non-essential items from booting up with Windows, clearing areas of the registry etc. that are often used by malware to boot up on system start. It then automatically reboots the system. When the system reboots, it is very possible that no malicious software will be started.
You should use this window of opportunity to run removal tools and anti-virus tools to clean the system.
You can undo everything done by dBug by running the dBug_Undo.cmd file that comes with the application.
