File Pulverizer can destroy files beyond recovery, or even destroy whole hard disks.
When you delete a file in Windows it is still present on the hard drive. The data is still there but it is marked in the system as usable space. Other files being written to the drive can overwrite what was previously present, but that doesn''t always happen.
As a result, private files you deleted using the normal deletion method can still exist, fully or partially, on the drive where it can be easily recovered with readily available software. You can prevent this by overwriting files.
With File Pulverizer, you can right-click on any file and "pulverize" it, which will overwrite the actual file data (those 1s and 0s) on the disk so it can no longer be recovered. This app can even do this for a whole disk.
