- Significant performance and convenience enhancements to the SugarSync Drive. Specifically, we've added a slider that enables you to control the amount of cache the SugarSync Drive can use – from a minimum of 2 GB (the default amount) to a maximum of 50 GB (if you're more concerned with performance than with hard drive storage space). In addition, we've added a Clear Cache button you can click at any time to reduce the amount of downloaded material stored to zero.
- SugarSync will auto-label folders with duplicate names for customers upgrading to SugarSync 2.0.
- We've added new persistent status icons to existing folder icons in the desktop app:
- New introductory video added for first-time users.
- A range of bug fixes, which improve the stability of the SugarSync Drive; provide a more intuitive path for privately-shared folders that are then synced; and the ability to use special characters in folder tags.

- Assign any drive letter to the SugarSync Drive. Just go to your SugarSync preferences to select the drive letter you'd rather use. Here's more information on how to do that.

- Simplified User Interface. A completely redesigned interface gives both the SugarSync desktop app and the SugarSync web app a more integrated look and feel, and makes it easier and more simple to use SugarSync. New aspects include:
- Search function. Now you can search files and folders across your computers and cloud.
- Cloud tab, for managing all your sync folders.
- Sharing tab, for seeing what others have shared with you and what you have shared with others.
- Activity tab, for viewing your most recent activity, including syncing and sharing information.
- Info Panel: All new Info Panel that provides you with one click access to manage your data.
- Better ways to sync your folders across devices. The SugarSync 2.0 Beta makes it faster and easier to sync your folders across computers, mobile devices, and the cloud.
- Drag and drop any folder onto the blue space in the Cloud tab and it will start syncing.
- Save space on your computer by converting a folder to a cloud-only folder.
- Enhanced sharing.
- Drag and drop any folder or file onto the blue space in the Sharing tab, select who to share with, and you’re done!
- All new ‘Contacts’ sub-tab under the Sharing menu. You can even drag a folder over your contact name to share with that contact.
- Share folders as private folders with a few select people, or as public links with everybody.
- New one-stop shop for accessing everything you have in SugarSync.
- SugarSync Drive – Use the SugarSync Drive to access all of your files with SugarSync Drive. It's fully-integrated with Windows File Explorer and Mac Finder, and works like another drive on your computer.
- Great new slideshow feature for sharing photos
- Take a look at our brand new photo gallery, which enables you, and whoever you share with, to see your photos in preview mode, in a gallery view, or in full-screen view.
- Toggle any folder with photos into gallery mode.

- Growl has been replaced by SugarSync native toast alerts for Macs. This will eliminate Mac crash and other issues related to Growl.
- For Mac customers, the SugarSync Icon in the task bar will appear in green. Those who prefer the standard Mac black and white appearance refer to the instructions in this KB article to change it.
