Samsung unveils new Galaxy Note 10.1 As expected, Samsung has unveiled their new Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet.
The tablet will run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with a 10.1-inch display at 1280x800 pixels resolution.

On the inside, the device runs on a quad-core 1.4 GHz SoC, has 2GB RAM, 5MP/1.9 MP cameras, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, MHL-HDMI output, an IR transmitter, GPS, a microSD card slot and a large 7000mAh battery. As with most tablets, internal storage depends on the price you pay, with 16GB, 32GB and 64GB being available.

Differentiating the tablet is its suite of apps which include S Note, S Planner, Crayons Physics, Adobe Photoshop Touch and Polaris Office. Additionally, Samsung has included their Hub, which is Music, Games, Learning, Readers, Video, Media, as well as Smart Stay and Pop Up Play.

The Note comes with the S Pen stylus familiar to Galaxy Note smartphone users. The stylus has a Wacom digitizer and is said to be the most accurate pen, ever.

...But it still won't make cell network calls. How much would it cost for them to include this...$5, maybe...and they could add $50-$100 to the price?

I have been keeping an eye on this tablet for a long time. The top pic is entirely not accurate to the final version. I really hope this is my next tablet, 720p screen with a quad core will be really fast. The Acer Iconia A700 sucked and I returned it because the Tegra 3 struggles to push a 1080p screen and damn that thing got hot! Plus I like my Samsung phones and with the pen and 2gb ram this is a winner as long as I can get the 32gb model for 550 then I am in! Weird comment above by the way...

Why no 4.1?

Cos it'll be a 'big feature' they can use in the advertising when the upgrade happens for the unsold new ones a few months down the line & the existing sold ones.
People will then get a fuzzy feeling that they just got something better cos the number went up to .1 more.

Looks like a decent tablet - if they can get the pricing right.

I think the most useful feature on the Note 10.1 will be the S Pen. To be able to take notes naturally on a screen will be helpful to me as a student. I have a Galaxy Note, and as useful as note-taking is on it, the screen is a bit limited. Many of my coworkers at Dish have a Galaxy of some sort, and I’m sure they will be just as excited as I am about the larger Note. I like streaming live and recorded shows through the Sling Adapter that is connected to my Hopper at home to my phone. Using the Dish Remote Access app, I can stream anywhere I want. LTE will definitely make streaming a lot clearer as well. Let’s hope the LTE version gets here soon.
